Poort FM is a community radio station situated in the community of Eersterust and can be accessed via  88.2 FM and also digitally via online streaming via www.poortfm.com and via the app on the Google Play-store.  Poort Fm broadcasts to the Eersterust community and surrounding areas within the City of Tshwane and is totally staffed by volunteers. 

Poort FM provides top quality broadcasting and digital live streaming to educate, entertain and inform listeners. Broadcasting a wide range of programs, we pride ourselves in our diversity which is truly representative of our community.  Currently we broadcast from 5am to 11pm daily and from 11pm to 5am we provide an overnight music playlist.

Poort FM provides direct advertising services, which often results in the financial growth of SMME’s that will lead to employment, empowerment and upliftment in our community.  We always encourage our audience to support local businesses.

Our station is driven by the community, with locals from in and around Eersterust  filling every role – from tech support and audio production to scheduling, programming, and more. Most of our presenters are from the area, and for many, Poort FM is their introduction to radio broadcasting. We offer a training program to give them the skills they need to shine on air.
