Dear Residents
As you all know, the community of Eersterust has been plagued for decades by the regressive act of disunity which has brought a once flourishing exemplary community to its knees. In the prelude to the elections of 2021, Eersterust was even more divided and falling victim to moral decay and on a path of hopelessness. The results of the elections saw that today, there are three Cllrs from our community, representing different political parties and on 20 April, 2022, the three
Cllrs, who had been involved in heated opposition of each other, made the historic decision to change the trajectory of leadership in the community of Eersterust and for the first time, come together to work towards the betterment of Eersterust. During our discussions, each laid out their vision and desires as a leader and what each of us would like to achieve in the limited time that the residents have afforded us to speak on their behalf where it matters most.
Cllrs Benjamin Lawrence II, Novina Pillay and Debyre Williams Moses, are pleased to announce our commitment to partnering and making use of our respective political homes and our offices, to forward Eersterust as a united front. We want to lead by example and encourage the rest of the community to do so, as together and united, we can drive Eersterust to greater heights, with the support of all stakeholders within the community.
